Washington Park Man Sent Back to Prison for Firearm Offense

News Release: Jessie L. Wofford, 41, of Washington Park, Illinois, was sentenced today to 51 months in federal prison for unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Wofford has a 1994 conviction for first degree murder and is legally prohibited from possessing a gun. He was on parole for that conviction when a 9mm handgun and a loaded extended magazine were found in his residence earlier this year. Wofford pleaded guilty to the federal gun charge back on June 15.
