News Release: LIMA, OH - While cleaning an auger used to rice potatoes, a 39-year-old production worker found her left arm caught in a running auger. The worker suffered multiple lacerations and the partial amputation of her arm. Co-workers had to cut the auger apart to free her arm.

McCall woman sentenced to more than 11 years for methamphetamine distribution

News Release: BOISE, Idaho - Denise Dana Hanson, 59, of McCall, Idaho, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to 140 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, today. Chief U.S. District Judge David C. Nye also ordered Hanson to serve five years of supervised release following her prison sentence. Hanson pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 20, 2020.


Preventative Fire Management in Joshua Tree National Park

News Release: Joshua Tree National Park vegetation and fire management staff are preparing for a fuel reduction project from March through May 2021. Park staff will implement fuel treatments along Black Rock trails and Covington Flats roads. Crews will be in the area for the next 12 weeks, through the end of May.

The 42-year-old House Springs, Missouri, resident pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and one count of possession with the intent to distribute more than 50 grams of actual methamphetamine.
