News Release: The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that the following persons were arraigned or appeared this week before U.S. Magistrate judges on indictments handed down by the Grand Jury or on criminal complaints. The charging documents are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.


Maryland Man Pleads Guilty to Financial Scams Using Online Dating Sites

News Release: RICHMOND, Va. - A Leonardtown, Maryland man pleaded guilty today to mail fraud in connection with an online dating site romance scam.


News Release: BUFFALO, N.Y.--U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that James T. Keefe, 40, of Florida, who was convicted of conspiring to possess with intent to distribute, and distributing, oxycodone, hydrocodone, and amphetamine, was sentenced to serve 60 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo. The defendant was also sentenced to serve five years supervised release to include six months home detention.

Nugent to 115 months imprisonment.
