This investment will help the state improve its recipient fraud prevention, detection, and investigation efforts by implementing principles from the SNAP Fraud Framework, a toolkit designed to help states prevent and detect fraud and sharpen their investigative techniques.

News Release: WASHINGTON - Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $5.8 million grant to Hagerstown Community College, Hagerstown, Maryland, to fund the renovation of a building needed to house workforce training programs to help diversify and grow the economy in a region impacted by the declining use of coal. This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan.
