Fish Hawk Campground temporarily closed due to continued misuse

News Release: Helena, Mont. - Fish Hawk Campground at Canyon Ferry Reservoir is closed until further notice. Reclamation issued a press release in October 2021 after continued misuse occurred at the campground last summer and fall. Large amounts of garbage were recently dumped at Fish Hawk Campground and visitors have continually left behind trash that led to the decision to temporarily close the site.

Council Bluffs Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Firearm Offense

News Release: COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA - Jason Henry Miller, age 45, of Council Bluffs, was sentenced Feb. 14, 2022, to 30 months in prison for Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm. His term of imprisonment will be followed by three years of supervised release. According to court documents, Miller pleaded guilty to the charge on Sept. 2, 2021.
