State Department publishes notice on Oct. 14

The US State Department published a one page notice on Oct. 14, according to the U.S. Government Publishing Office.

The notice is focused on Determination Under Section 564 of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1994 and 1995, Public Law 103-236, as Amended; Suspending Prohibitions on Certain Sales and Leases Under the Anti-Economic Discrimination Act of 1994.

The State Department is responsibly for international relations with a budget of more than $50 billion. Tenure at the State Dept. is increasingly tenuous and it's seen as an extension of the President's will, ambitions and flaws.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
