What did Labor Department publish on March 15?

The US Labor Department published a one page notice on March 15, according to the U.S. Government Publishing Office.

The notice is focused on Prohibited Transaction Exemptions and Grant of Individual Exemptions Involving: 2010-04, JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. (JPMCB or the Applicants), D-11491; 2010-05, Goldman Sachs & Its Affiliates (Goldman or the Applicants, D-11509; 2010-06, Louis B. Chaykin, M.D., P.A. Cross-Tested Profit Sharing Plan (the Plan), D-11532; and 2010-07, Columbia Management Advisors, LLC (Columbia, or the Applicant) and Its Current and Future Affiliates (Collectively, the Applicants), D-11556.

The Department provides billions in unemployment insurance, which peaked around 2011 though spending had declined before the pandemic. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, claimed the Department funds "ineffective and duplicative services" and overregulates the workplace.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
