Notice published by State Department on March 13

The US State Department published a one page notice on March 13, according to the U.S. Government Publishing Office.

The notice is focused on The Designation of Jemmah Anshorut Tauhid (JAT), Also Known as Jemmah Ansharut Tauhid, Also Known as Jem'mah Ansharut Tauhid, Also Known as Jamaah Ansharut Tauhid, Also Known as Jama'ah Ansharut Tauhid, as a Foreign Terrorist Organization Pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as Amended.

The State Department is responsibly for international relations with a budget of more than $50 billion. Tenure at the State Dept. is increasingly tenuous and it's seen as an extension of the President's will, ambitions and flaws.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
