The US State Department published a one page notice on April 10, according to the U.S. Government Publishing Office.

The notice is focused on In the Matter of the Designation of Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis, Also Known as Ansar Jerusalem, Also Known as Supporters of Jerusalem, Also Known as Ansar Bayt al-Maqdes, Also Known as Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, Also Known as Jamaat Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, Also Known as Jamaat Ansar Beit al-Maqdis fi Sinaa, Also Known as Supporters of the Holy Place as a Foreign Terrorist Organization Pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as Amended.

The State Department is responsibly for international relations with a budget of more than $50 billion. Tenure at the State Dept. is increasingly tenuous and it's seen as an extension of the President's will, ambitions and flaws.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
