Committee on Appropriations: On March 18, the Subcommittee on the Departments of Transportation, Treasury, and Housing and Urban Development, the Judiciary, District of Columbia and Independent Agencies held a hearing on the Secretary of Transportation. DOE NUCLEAR FACILITIES--SECURITY INITIATIVES
Committee on Energy and Commerce: On March 18, the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations held a hearing entitled ``A Review of Security Initiatives at DOE Nuclear Facilities.'' Testimony was heard from the officials of the Department of Energy: Linton Brooks, Administrator, National Nuclear Security Administration; Glenn S. Podonsky, Director, Office of Security and Safety Performance Assurance; and Peter Nanos, Director, Los Alamos National Laboratory; and a public witness.
