Committee on International Relations: Ordered reported, as amended, H.R. 2646, Agricultural Act of 2001.
The Committee also adopted a motion urging the chairman to request that the following resolution be considered on the Suspension Calendar: H. Con. Res. 217, recognizing the historic significance of the fiftieth anniversary of the alliance between Australia and the United States under the ANZUS Treaty, paying tribute to the United States-Australia relationship, reaffirming the importance of economic and security cooperation between the United States and Australia, and welcoming the state visit by Australian Prime Minister John Howard.

VETERANS' LEGISLATION
Committee on Veterans' Affairs: Subcommittee on Health held a hearing on the following bills: H.R. 2792, Disabled Veterans Service Dog and Health Care Improvement Act of 2001; H.R. 1435, Veterans' Emergency Telephone Service Act of 2001; and H.R. 1136, to amend title 38, United States Code, to require Department of Veterans Affairs pharmacies to dispense medication to veterans for prescriptions written by private practitioners.
