WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) announced today the availability of approximately $12 million in Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program (HVRP) grants to provide veterans with job-driven training to help them successfully transition from homelessness to sustainable housing and good civilian jobs.
HVRP grants are made to eligible organizations to provide homeless veterans with occupational, classroom, and on-the-job training; and job search and placement assistance, as well as follow-up services. Funds will be awarded on a competitive basis to state and local workforce investment boards, local public agencies and nonprofit organizations, tribal governments, and faith-based and community organizations.
