Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez today released the following statement on January’s solid employment numbers: “President Bush’s tax relief has helped America create three million jobs since May of 2003. To sustain our economic recovery, the Bush Administration is pursuing pro-growth policies including making tax relief permanent, eliminating trade barriers, and reforming and strengthening entitlement programs. Under President Bush’s leadership, more Americans are working than have ever worked before.”
