Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez today released the following statement on revised First Quarter GDP: “America’s economy continues to demonstrate that President Bush’s pro-growth policies are working. The revised GDP data reflects strong and steady momentum and an economic recovery that is resilient and robust. But there is more work to do. This administration will continue to create the best environment for U.S. businesses to succeed by opening markets abroad, moving America toward greater energy independence, lowering health care costs and reforming Social Security for the future of our children and grandchildren.”
