NOAA Awards Fisheries, Climate Grants to Tribal and State Agencies in Washington Grants will contribute to healthy fisheries and better understanding of climate impacts Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced today the award of more than $48 million in grants to the University of Washington, a tribal commission and several state environmental agencies. Five grants will be directed toward fisheries interests in the state while a sixth grant will create models to help regional planning managers understand and react to climate and hydrographic impacts.
