Readout of Secretary Raimondo’s Meeting with UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq al Marri

Today, Secretary Raimondo & Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Abdulla bin Touq al Marri, met to witness the renewal of a memorandum of understanding initially established in 2016. This renewed MOU will broaden the scope of collaboration and allow for future bilateral programming to promote greater innovation in both economies. Additionally, the Secretary and Minister bin Touq al Marri discussed a Department of Commerce-led initiative on establishing environmental, social, and corporate governance best practices, digital economy cooperation, and the upcoming Department of Commerce-led Trade Winds conference.
