Today, Deputy Secretary Graves met with the Minister of Economy, Planning and International Cooperation of Senegal, Amadou Hott, to discuss the U.S.-Senegal commercial relationship and to re-affirm the U.S.’ commitment to increased engagement. Deputy Secretary Graves congratulated Minister Hott on President Sall’s upcoming chairmanship of the African Union. The Deputy Secretary also discussed current and upcoming Department of Commerce initiatives in the region aimed at strengthening partnerships in Senegal and across Western Africa and the broader continent.
