The below is attributable to Spokesperson Ned Price: Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met today with Greenlandic Premier Múte Bourup Egede in Kangerlussuaq. During the meeting, which also included Greenlandic Minister of Foreign Affairs, Business, Trade, and Climate Pele Broberg and Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod, Secretary Blinken thanked Premier Egede for the strong partnership between the United States and Greenland and highlighted our diplomatic presence in Nuuk as an example of our close ties. The Secretary and the Premier noted our shared commitment to increase cooperation under the Common Plan for U.S.-Greenland Cooperation in bilateral trade and investment, science, minerals and energy, and economic growth through areas such as sustainable tourism and education.
