The Federal Reserve Board on Monday announced its approval of the application under section 3 of the Bank Holding Company Act by First Interstate BancSystem, Inc., Billings, Montana, to merge with Mountain West Financial Corp. and thereby indirectly acquire Mountain West Bank, N.A., both of Helena, Montana.
