FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TUESDAY, MARCH 13, 2007 WWW.USDOJ.GOV AG (202) 514-2007 TDD (202) 514-1888 WASHINGTON, D.C. - Chief of Staff D. Kyle Sampson has resigned his position as Chief of Staff to the Attorney General effective Monday, Mar. 12, 2007.

“Kyle Sampson has served as a key member of my team beginning at the White House and continuing here at the Department of Justice first as my Deputy Chief of Staff and then as my Chief of Staff,” said Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales. “I am very appreciative for his service, counsel and friendship during the last six years and I thank him for his service to the Department.” 07-144
