Statement from Acting USDA Secretary Young on the Passing of Clayton Yeutter

WASHINGTON, March 7, 2017 — Acting Agriculture Secretary Mike Young today issued the following statement: "Today, we celebrate the life of Clayton Yeutter and remember his public service and the many contributions he made to America's farmers. Clayton grew up on his family's farm in Nebraska and never forgot the hardworking families of this country. I remember his dedication and devotion to improving rural American during his leadership at USDA from 1989 to 1991.

"USDA has lost not only a great friend, but an example of what a life devoted to public service can accomplish. Our thoughts are with his family and all his many friends." # USDA is an equal opportunity lender, provider and employer.
