Readout of Secretary Napolitano’s Meeting with Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik

For Immediate Release Office of the Press Secretary Contact: 202-282-8010 U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano met this morning with her Pakistani counterpart, Interior Minister Rehman Malik. They discussed cooperation between DHS and the Pakistani Interior Ministry on security issues, including mutual interests in combating terrorism, border security and the safety of air travel. They also talked about ways in which the two countries can exchange information and share lessons learned about their respective missions.
