While in New York, Acting Secretary Beers will meet with state and local officials and first responders, as well as Department of Homeland Security employees in the region.
“On Sept. 12-13, Acting Secretary Rand Beers will travel to Rome, Italy to meet with the Group of Six (G6) international counterparts from France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The G6 Ministerial Meeting will discuss trans-Atlantic efforts related to migration, counterterrorism, cybersecurity, and preventing and combating transnational crime. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is also expected to attend.”
