On Sept. 19, Acting Secretary Beers will travel to McAllen, Texas to inspect border security operations, meet with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees in the region, and receive a briefing on the Administration’s efforts in securing the nation’s border and combating narcotics and weapons smuggling, while facilitating lawful travel and trade.
