For Immediate Release DHS Press Office Contact: 202-282-8010 WASHINGTON — Today, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson met with Lebanese Interior Minister Nouhad Al-Mashnouq to discuss a variety of homeland security related priorities, and reiterate the commitment of the United States to work collaboratively with its international partners to share information and combat common threats.

On March 26, 2015, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson met with Lebanese Interior Minister Nouhad Al-Mashnouq to discuss a variety of homeland security related priorities, and reiterate the commitment of the United States to work collaboratively with its international partners to share information and combat common threats. (DHS Photo by Barry Bahler/Released) View Original During the meeting, Secretary Johnson and Minister Al-Mashnouq discussed ways to strengthen bilateral security cooperation and common security standards, especially with regards to the detection and prevention of the travel of foreign terrorist fighters. Secretary Johnson highlighted the importance of sharing information with our global friends and allies about violent extremists who return to our countries after traveling abroad to conflict regions. The Minister agreed on the importance of multilateral collaboration, and conveyed his commitment to sustained efforts to combat common threats.
