Statement by Press Secretary Marsha Catron on Secretary Johnson’s Upcoming Trip to Connecticut

For Immediate Release DHS Press Office Contact: 202-282-8010 On Oct. 29, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson will travel to New London, Conn. to visit the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. While in New London, Secretary Johnson will deliver remarks to the Coast Guard Academy Corps of Cadets as part of the Academy’s Elenchus Fellow Lecture Series. Secretary Johnson will also meet with leadership from the Coast Guards of the eight Arctic nations, including Canada, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and the United States, gathered for the first-ever Arctic Coast Guard Forum. He will deliver opening remarks at the Forum on the Department’s role and the importance of international cooperation in the Arctic.
