Interior Department to Announce Proposed Reforms to Reduce Wasted Gas, Methane Emissions on Public, Tribal Lands - Archive

WASHINGTON – Today, Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management Janice Schneider and Bureau of Land Management Director Neil Kornze will host a press conference call to announce proposed reforms for oil and gas development on public and tribal lands, focusing on limiting the amount of natural gas wastefully burned and released into the atmosphere.

This proposal is the latest in a series of commonsense reforms that Interior Secretary Sally Jewell outlined last year to ensure that domestic energy resources on public lands are produced safely and responsibly.
