On Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, Secretary Ken Salazar will join Governor Kulongoski, Tribal leaders, and local stakeholders to announce the signing of two historic agreements: the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement and the Klamath Hydroelectric Settlement Agreement. Together, these final agreements will work to resolve long-standing water quantity, water quality, and fish and wildlife resource issues in the Klamath Basin, representing the largest river and salmon restoration effort in U.S. history.
