HOUSTON, TX – U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell will deliver keynote remarks on Monday, April 20, at IHS Energy CERAWeek. The annual conference is an international gathering of energy industry leaders, experts, government officials and policymakers, and leaders from the technology, financial, and industrial communities. This year's theme is “Turning Point: Energy's New World.”
On the five-year mark of the Deepwater Horizon blowout and oil spill, Secretary Jewell will discuss the sweeping reforms that the Interior Department has put in place to make offshore oil and gas exploration and development safer and more responsible. She will also continue her discussion highlighting how the Obama Administration is implementing policies and reforms for a sustainable and prosperous energy future.
