Salazar to Visit Texas, Tour World's Largest Inland Desalination Plant and Showcase Successful Water Projects in El Paso - Archive

EL PASO, TX.– On Wednesday, Jan. 4th , Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Michael Connor will join Representative Silvestre Reyes for a tour of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant, the world's largest inland desalination plant which produces 27.5 million gallons of fresh water on a daily basis. Following the tour, Salazar and attendees will meet with irrigation stakeholders to hear how the Federal government can better support successful water conservation, supply, and delivery efforts across the state.
