Secretary Salazar, Rep. Grivalja to Visit Southwest Border Security Projects on National Park Service Land - Archive

On Saturday, March 13, 2010 Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will join Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Arizona) to assess the progress of homeland security projects at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument on the U.S. border with Mexico. They will be joined by Interior Assistant Secretary for Fish, Wildlife and Parks Tom Strickland; National Park Service Director John Jarvis; and Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Robert Boatright, U.S. Border Patrol. Following the inspection tour, the Secretary and Rep. Grijalva and Chief Patrol Agent Boatright will hold a news conference at Ajo Municipal Airport.

Where: Ajo Municipal Airport is located off State Hwy 85, about 5 miles North of Ajo, Arizona. There is sufficient signage directing traffic toward the airport. The conference will be in the hangar.
