TODAY: Secretary Jewell to Discuss New Report on Interior's Economic Contributions - Archive

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Monday, July 29, Interior Secretary Sally Jewell will hold a press call to detail the Department of the Interior's contributions to the nation's economy in areas ranging from outdoor recreation and tourism to conventional and renewable energy development.

During the call, Secretary Jewell will discuss the findings of The U.S. Department of the Interior Economic Report for Fiscal Year 2012, prepared by Interior's Office of Policy Analysis. The report covers activities including management of public lands and waterways, mineral development, recreation, wildlife protection, and scientific discovery and modernization.
