JACKSON HOLE, WYO. – On Monday, June 13, U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell will deliver keynote remarks at the annual summer meeting of the Western Governors' Association (WGA) in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Secretary Jewell’s remarks will focus on the value of public lands and areas of successful collaboration with Western Governors, including conservation goals, species conservation, building resilience, natural resource development and wildfire.
Secretary Jewell and Wyoming Governor Matt Mead will also hold a press conference to make an important announcement regarding Grand Teton National Park.
The Western Governors' Association, founded in 1984 and representing the Governors of 19 states and three US-Flag Pacific islands, helps Governors develop bipartisan policy solutions for key Western issues.
