Secretary Jewell to Discuss Efforts to Combat Wildlife Trafficking At White House Forum - Archive

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell will join former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications and Speechwriting Ben Rhodes, and representatives from environmental and conservation groups on Monday, September 9th in a White House Forum to Counter Wildlife Trafficking where the Advisory Council on Wildlife Trafficking will be announced.

The Advisory Council, called for by a Presidential Executive Order in July, is tasked with making recommendations to the Administration and providing it with ongoing advice and assistance on the issue of wildlife trafficking.

Participants at Monday's White House Forum will also discuss ongoing efforts both domestically and abroad to combat wildlife trafficking.
