Yulan Adonay Archaga Carias, aka Alexander Mendoza and “Porky,” is wanted on racketeering, gun and drug charges.
Yulan Adonay Archaga Carias, leader of the violent MS-13 transnational organization for all of Honduras has been added to the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list.
“This is a joint effort,” said Supervisory Special Agent Nick Durgin, who supports JTFV for the FBI. “When we work together with our partners, we can see the crossover and better address the threat.”
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading directly to his arrest. Carias, also known as Alexander Mendoza and “Porky,” has been charged in the Southern District of New York with racketeering conspiracy, possession of machine guns and cocaine importation conspiracy. Carias escaped from Honduran custody in February 2020 when approximately 20 armed gunmen in police and military uniforms stormed a courthouse where Archaga Carias was scheduled for a hearing.
Archaga Carias is believed to still be in Honduras. Joint Task Force Vulcan is currently investigating Carias. That task force was founded in 2019 to merge the United States Departments of Justice and Homeland Security to deal with MS-13. MS-13 is believed to pose a threat to the United States, not just Central America.
Carias is 39 years old and has brown eyes and black hair, which is sometimes shaved close to his head. He is 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He is thought to only speak Spanish.
Anyone with information on Carias should contact the FBI or an American embassy or consulate.
