WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry announced that on Oct. 2, 2017, the first-ever shipment of U.S. crude oil arrived in India. Following Prime Minister Modi’s visit with President Trump, Indian companies ramped up purchases of U.S. crude.

The shipment was loaded at the Saint James, Louisiana and Freeport, Texas terminals and was received in Odisha, India by Indian Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan. More shipments will follow in coming months. NEWS MEDIA CONTACT
