The Office of Electricity has released a new video detailing how the power grid of the future will keep America moving forward.

The public is invited to watch the video on the office’s social media platforms. It showcases their pledge to hasten the innovations that move affordable and secure electricity throughout the country.

“Get a glimpse of how the grid works and OE's commitment to accelerate the innovations that move affordable and secure electricity across our nation,” the press release said.

The organization states that people rely on power to fulfill their daily lives: from streaming their entertainment, to lighting municipalities and having internet that is always running.

A Twitter user named Doug Heflin wrote that the country was moving too fast from fossil fuels to electric vehicles, and stated that he wasn’t sure new initiatives were essential to America.

“The electric grid in the United States will not handle 330 million people turning an AC unit on plus charging their damn cars and all the lights and machinery my God will crash the entire power grid if they don't fix anything first they want to jump right into climate change,” Heflin wrote.

The Office of Electricity states their objective is to harness a robust supply of resilient, reliable and clean energy throughout the nation; from big cities to remote rural regions.
