Beginning January 2nd, 2022 Walnut Canyon National Monument will transition from an individual entry fee of $15 per person to a $25 dollar per vehicle fee.
Park entrance fees will continue to support critical park projects and visitor services like trail maintenance, cultural and natural resource preservation, information services, and repairs to park facilities. In addition to these important services, the transition may serve as a cost saving measure to groups visiting Walnut Canyon.
Entrance fees are not charged to holders of a variety of passes to include annual, military, 4th grade, senior, access, or volunteer passes. To learn more about these passes, please visit Entrance Passes (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov).
Acting Flagstaff Area National Monuments’ Superintendent Kristofer Butcher stated that he “hopes everyone is as excited about the change as we are. This simplified fee structure is intended to make things easier and provide greater value for our visitors. "
