On Monday, January 17, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield will volunteer at a local refugee resettlement agency in Alexandria, Virginia to mark the Dr. Martin Luther King National Day of Service. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will join with U.S. Senator Mark Warner and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services CEO Krish O’Mara Vignarajah to volunteer, as well as meet with staff and clients served by the agency, including a number of Afghan allies who recently arrived through Operation Allies Welcome.
