GenH2 CEO to discuss 'Future Prospects for Large-Scale Production and Storage of Liquid Hydrogen' at Houston Conference this week

GenH2, a provider of hydrogen infrastructure solutions will be a platinum sponsor of the 2nd American Hydrogen Forum, a yearly energy industry event.

The American Hydrogen Forum is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Feb. 17-18, in Houston, Texas. It aims to offer a platform for important stakeholders from the government, research, technology, and service sectors to engage in a clean energy discussion.

"GenH2 is focused on establishing efficient manufacturing capabilities and repeatable processes to mass-produce standard solutions for hydrogen production, liquefaction, storage and transfer," Cody Bateman, Founder and CEO of GenH2 stated in a Jan. 25 press release.

Bateman will be a featured speaker on the conference's main stage on Friday at 9:30 a.m., where he will discuss the topic of "Future Prospects for Large-Scale Liquid Hydrogen Production and Storage."

In related news, in October, McDermott International, Ltd announced the formation of a DOE-funded collaboration of public, commercial, and academic specialists led by Shell International Exploration and Production, Inc.

Currently, Shell is laying the groundwork for large-scale liquid hydrogen (LH2) storage in international trade applications.

The Department of Energy's Office of Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies has selected Shell and its consortium partners, including GenH2, to show that a large-scale LH2 tank with a capacity of 20,000 to 100,000 cubic meters is possible and cost-competitive at import and export terminals.

"Partnerships like this consortium are key to supporting hydrogen's role in the U.S. because partnerships inspire action," Bateman stated, "As demonstrated by increased participation at the 2nd American Hydrogen Forum, the energy industry is embracing hydrogen as a serious energy source."

GenH2 is currently establishing efficient manufacturing capabilities and repeatable procedures to mass-produce standard products for hydrogen generation, liquefaction, storage, and transmission through the use of proprietary technology and licensing.
