and Environmental Groups, to Call for Action on Global Warming Legislation

BACKGROUND: As the Senate prepares to debate historic bipartisan climate legislation, U.S. Senators will be joined by a broad coalition of business, labor, faith, and conservation leaders calling for urgent Senate action to address the challenge of global warming. Debate on the Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act of 2008 (S. 3036 - the Boxer/Lieberman/Warner substitute) is expected to begin on the Senate floor Monday June 2.
