Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, today made the following remarks regarding the Senate's confirmation of Thomas Strickland to be Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks of the Department of the Interior:

Senator Boxer said: "Tom Strickland has the experience and expertise to be a great Assistant Secretary of the Interior, and I look forward to working with him to protect America's unique natural treasures."
