Senators Boxer and Kerry to Introduce the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act at 11:30 am ET

BACKGROUND:

Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, and Senator John Kerry (D-MA), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will host an event on Wednesday to introduce the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act, and will be joined by a broad coalition showing support for action in the U.S. Senate to address global warming. Senators Boxer and Kerry will be joined by Democratic Members of the EPW committee and other senators, as well as leaders from the business, faith, national security, energy and environmental community, and local and state officials.
