Vitter Meets With EPA's Acting Administrator Perciasepe

The following press release was published by the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Work on May 14, 2013. It is reproduced in full below.

U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), top Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee, today made the following statement following a meeting with Bob Perciasepe, Acting Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency:

"My meeting with EPA this afternoon was productive. We discussed Republicans' 5 key transparency requests (again). They'll be getting back to us on those late tomorrow, and that will determine Republican EPW members' approach to Thursday's scheduled mark-up," Vitter said.

Last week, EPW Committee Republicans did not attend the nomination vote of Gina McCarthy to head the EPA due to a lack of answers to their five key transparency requests , which led to a postponement of the vote.
