WASHINGTON, D.C. - A broad group of stakeholders have voiced support for S. 3021, America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018.
The bipartisan legislation is the most sweeping infrastructure package to be considered this Congress. It grows the economy, keeps communities safe, cuts red tape, and is fiscally responsible. The House of Representatives passed the legislation by voice vote. The legislation is scheduled for Senate consideration this week.
What They Are Saying About the Legislation:
American Farm Bureau Federation :

The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) :
“The result of bipartisan and bicameral negotiations, the America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 authorizes critical U.S. Army Corps of Engineers port, waterway, flood protection, and other water infrastructure improvements across the country. Water transportation is a vital element of the national multimodal transportation system and essential to the efficient movement of freight. Improving and modernizing our ports, harbors, and waterways will ensure our nation's economic competitiveness." --Bud Wright, Executive Director
The Water Infrastructure Network (US Chamber of Commerce, Ducks Unlimited, National Rural Water Association and others):
“The nation's leading construction, engineering, municipal, conservation, public works, infrastructure finance, labor and manufacturing organizations, strongly support America's Water Infrastructure Act and applaud the inclusion of critical elements of the Securing Required Funding for Water Infrastructure Now Act - the SRF WIN Act. This infrastructure facilitates energy trade flows across the United States and around the world, helping to ensure that American and global consumers have access to affordable energy." -- Michael J. Sommers President and CEO
