WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, Chairman Pat Roberts, R-Kan., and Ranking Member Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., today announced the U.S. Grain Standards Reauthorization Act of 2020 was signed into law by President Trump.
The U.S. Grain Standards Reauthorization Act of 2020 passed out of the Senate Agriculture Committee on June 24, the Senate on Nov. 16, and the House of Representatives on December 2.
“We’re ending 2020 by delivering on our promise of certainty and predictability to the federal grain inspection system," said Roberts. “This bipartisan legislation is a testament to the way we get things done in the Agriculture Committee."
“Right now, our farmers are facing unprecedented uncertainty and trade instability," said Stabenow. “This bipartisan reauthorization will continue our grain inspection system and protect the interests of American farmers."
The U.S. Grain Standards Reauthorization Act of 2020 has wide industry support from national and state agriculture groups.
