Committee Solicits Feedback on Energy Markets

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on Feb. 27, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON, DC - Ahead of next week’s hearing on “21st Century Energy Markets: How the Changing Dynamics of World Energy Markets Impact our Economy and Energy Security," the majority and minority staff of the House Energy and Commerce Committee are seeking feedback from stakeholders, releasing a series of questions for discussion.

Much of the nation’s energy policy predates the changed circumstances of increased domestic supply and slowed demand growth and addresses many concerns that may or may not be relevant going forward. At the same time, newly emerging energy challenges raise questions about the future direction of federal energy policy. The feedback received will help inform the committee’s efforts to advance a 21st Century energy policy.

The majority and minority staff welcome thoughtful feedback and request that interested parties respond to EnergyFeedback@mail.house.gov by March 17, 2015. All responses will later be made publicly available.
