Pallone Statement on CBO Report Detailing Devastating Costs of ACA Repeal

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on June 19, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

“This latest report confirms that the cost of repealing the ACA would be devastating, especially to the 24 million Americans who would find themselves uninsured. The ACA is providing millions of families across the country with quality, affordable health insurance and the security that comes from being covered. Repealing the law would not only deprive millions of vital health protections, but also explode the deficit by $353 billion. My Republican colleagues should look long and hard at these numbers and recognize that the consequences of repeal will be all too real. This report makes it overwhelmingly clear: it is long past time to stop obsessing over undoing this historic law."
