WASHINGTON, DC - The House Committee on Energy and Commerce today announced its hearing schedule for the week of February 22.
On Wednesday, the Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing entitled, “The Fiscal Year 2017 HHS Budget." Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Sylvia Burwell will testify on the department’s proposed budget.as they are posted.
Also on Wednesday, the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing entitled, “DOE for the 21st Century: Science, Environment, and National Security Missions." The subcommittee will hear testimony from the co-chairmen of two advisory panels, the Congressional Advisory Panel on the Governance of the Nuclear Security Enterprise, and the Commission to Review the Effectiveness of the National Energy Laboratories. The panels were tasked with examining the effectiveness of the Department of Energy’s National Labs and Nuclear Security Enterprise. Members will examine the panels’ findings.as they are posted.
On Friday, the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade will hold its next installment of its Disrupter Series, with a review of 3D printing and its impacts on job creation and economic growth for American manufacturers and consumers.as they are posted.
