Feb. 10, 2016 - NBC News Special Correspondent Tom Brokaw presented the Tracy’s Kids Courage Award to Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) and Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) for their efforts to deliver #CuresNow. Tracy’s Kids has helped countless young cancer patients and their families cope with the stress and trauma that comes with diagnosis and treatment.
March 16, 2017 - The #Path2Cures connected the Capitol and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue as bipartisan House and Senate leaders met with Vice President Joe Biden. Describing the meeting as “positive and productive," Upton, Pallone, and DeGette commented, “[W]ith our legislative efforts coupled with the ‘moon shot’ and the administration’s Precision Medicine Initiative, there is no question that 21st Century Cures is the right vehicle to get this done."

March 23, 2016 - The Big House was rocking for #CuresNow when The Who frontman and co-founder of Teen Cancer America, Roger Daltrey, headlined the committee’s “Conversation on Child Cures." Sarah Kennedy, mother of Brooke and Brielle - the inspiration behind 21st Century Cures - also spoke on behalf of #CuresNow and how it will help transform the lives of her girls who have SMA.
March 24, 2016 - It was a whirlwind for Duchenne patient Buddy Cassidy. On March 23, Buddy was in the front row for the Conversation on Child Cures. After the event, Roger Daltrey had a special invitation for Buddy. The next night he was backstage at the Verizon Center for The Who as Daltrey’s special guest.
